Partnered Clinic Organizations and Clinic Sites

Vista Hill Foundation’s Native American SmartCare program is funded by California Area Indian Health Services. Our service provides pediatric psychiatric and behavioral health consultation services to IHS tribal clinics that have entered into a partnership relationship with Native American SmartCare.

Native American SmartCare works with partnered clinics to provide psychiatric and behavioral health support to pediatricians who are treating children and youth with Behavioral Health symptoms. NASC also provides support for Mental Health Professionals such as therapists, social workers, nurse practitioners and psychiatrists working with this population. This is done through telephone and video consultations with providers as well as families.

Native American SmartCare also attends consultation meetings with clinics in which providers are invited to discuss best current best practices and receive recommendations from NASC’s team of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners and Mental Health Professionals.

Native American SmartCare aids with resource identification and referrals for families, youth and children within partnered clinics through our parent and family consultation line.

Native American Smartcare psychiatrists provide educational presentations to partnered clinics on a variety of topics ranging from suicide assessment to psychopharmacological and behavioral health interventions. Native American SmartCare also provides a monthly newsletter that addresses relevant topics in Behavioral Health and Psychopharmacology through a culturally appropriate lens.
